1. About CareerLaos
CareerLaos (careerlaos.la) is a job website run by CareerLaos, [ADDRESS], Vientiane Capital, Lao PDR. We connect jobseekers and employers. We are not the employer of any job shown on the site and we do not promise that anyone will be hired.
2. Free to use
- CareerLaos is free for jobseekers.
- During the launch offer, posting jobs is free for employers. Paid plans may be introduced later; we will tell employers before any charge applies.
3. Your account
- Give true information and keep it up to date. Keep your password private; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One person, one account. Tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
- You must be old enough to work legally in Lao PDR ([MINIMUM AGE]).
4. Jobseekers
- Your profile and applications must be true.
- Never pay money to get a job, an interview or a place on a list. Real employers on CareerLaos do not charge jobseekers. If someone asks you for money, report the job.
- Be careful before sharing identity documents or bank details. Check an employer before you go to an interview in a place you do not know.
5. Employers
When you post a job you promise that:
- The job is real, you are allowed to hire for it, and the details are true, including the salary range and contact details.
- You post with the job form or with your own job poster (photo or PDF), and the poster contains only the job advertisement.
- You do not charge jobseekers any fee, and you do not ask for money, deposits or documents as a condition of applying.
- You do not discriminate unfairly and you follow Lao law, including any licence needed for recruitment for work abroad (MoLSW).
- You use applicants' information only to consider and contact them about the job, and you keep it private.
- If you ask CareerLaos staff to post a job for you, we publish it only after you have confirmed the details to us in writing (for example by approving it with the link we send you, or by WhatsApp, email or a signed form), and we keep that confirmation. You are responsible for the information you gave us; we are responsible for copying it correctly. Please check the job once it is online. If you tell us that a job was posted without your agreement or has a mistake, we will correct it or take it down within 24 hours of hearing from you.
6. Not allowed
- Fake, misleading or duplicate jobs; jobs that are scams, pyramid schemes or illegal.
- Copying jobseekers' information for any other purpose, or collecting it in bulk.
- Harassing other users, spam, or trying to break or overload the site.
- Scraping the site automatically without our written permission.
7. Reports and our right to act
Anyone can report a job using "Report a fake job". We review reports and may edit, close or delete any job, and suspend or close any account, if we believe these terms are broken or people may be harmed. Where we can, we will tell you why.
8. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post (your profile, your jobs). You allow CareerLaos to show and store it so the site can work, for example to display your job to jobseekers and your profile to employers you apply to.
9. No guarantee, and limits on our responsibility
We work to keep the site running and the jobs genuine, but we give no guarantee that the site will always be available or free of errors, or that any job or applicant is genuine. To the extent the law allows, CareerLaos is not responsible for what happens between jobseekers and employers, or for losses caused by using the site. [LAWYER TO CONFIRM THIS SECTION.]
10. Changes to the site and these terms
We may change the site or these terms. We will update this page and its date, and tell you about important changes. If you keep using CareerLaos after a change, you accept it.
